Imagine enjoying champagne and relaxing with your bridal party, as the sun paints the city skyline in hues of rose and amber. At Victoria Park in Herston, just moments from Brisbane's heart, your wedding dreams unfold against a breathtaking canvas of rolling green hills and glittering city lights.
Victoria Park in inner city Herston (my neighbourhood) has been recognised as Queensland's 2021 Runner-Up for Best Reception Venue and earned a place in ABIA's Top 10 National Best Reception Venues in 2023. I can tell you from first hand experience, Victoria Park is within the top 5 in terms of popularity for both weddings and corporate events in Brisbane (and one of my favourites!).
I am there frequently shooting corporate events and weddings, with breakfast and lunch events particularly popular. Victoria Park really 'has it all' and really 'does it all' on the Brisbane event scene!
Here is some ‘local knowledge’ that I bet you weren’t aware of... Did you know that the Victoria Park Bistro has a ‘secret’ Happy Hour between Wednesday and Friday from 4.30PM-5.30PM*? Okay it’s not actually secret (you don’t need a password!) but neither is it promoted on their website or social media. It includes most of their tap beers such as Byron Bay Lager for $6 (half price) and their small house wines and local spirits. Try beating that for value…
*This was correct and up to date information confimred first hand as of September 2025, but it may pay to check with them if you are going ‘out of your way’ to visit for this (which I highly recommend!)
They also have a special on their woodfired stone baked flat bread which is normally $14, just $7 during happy hour. I recommend adding mozarella cheese for just $2.50 extra then it will feed two kids. If you are heading there on a Wednesday bookings aren’t required in my experience, but the same can’t be said for Friday night.
I digress… So it was with great delight that Anna & Mike booked me for their July 2025 wedding at Victoria Park, and the sun did not let us down with spectacular sunset vibes captured throughout the shoot. Using their golf buggies were able to zip to all the best spots at exactly the right time, without getting all hot and sweaty in the process.
If you have booked Victoria Park booked for your wedding I would love to have a chat to discuss options for portraits, the ideal time for your ceremony and answer any questions you may have.
One more thing… check out how awesome the bridal party were? I will often ask the bridal party if they have any fun, silly, quirky photos they would like to capture. These guys knew just about every ‘cliche’ wedding bridal party photo every invented and just delivered them one after the other… See how many you can spot?
