St Marys Anglican Church Kangaroo Point Wedding

St Marys Anglican Church is a very private and epic location on the cliffs overlooking the Brisbane CBD. As with most photography, timing is critical here as the sun will disappear behind buildings later in the afternoon. Timing your portraits to occur close to this is key to getting the best shots, and there are also a few nooks and crannies around the property which are perfect for quick portraits.

You could easily spend 30 minutes taking portraits around the location, and not have to go somewhere else which is really nice.

Rev Canon Gary Harch was amazing in terms of taking care of all the details, and also provided a rehearsal a week before which I attended (which was super helpful to understand the lighting inside the church).

With darker churches like this, having good camera bodies, wide prime lenses and the ability to really open up the camera and capture as much natural light is really critical.
