Long Term Wedding Photo Backup & Storage 1000 Year Blu Ray M-Disc 25-50GB (1000 Years)

$99.00

Regular Blu-ray DVD’s are a good option for backing up important files and data you want to keep for up to 25 years.

The problem with USB Drives or External hard drives is that they experience data decay even quicker, and may last only 5-7 years.

But what about your precious digital wedding photos that you want to pass down to future generations? What is the most reliable way to store a physical copy of these?

The answer is the M-Disc which can be read in any standard Blu-ray player, but is specifically designed for ‘generational storage’.

The technology behind M-Disc is fascinating, the surface of the disc is a rock like layer, which makes it the most durable way to store data known today (which is why it’s also used by museums throughout the world, and for governmental and industrial data storage).

M-Discs last not just 100 years like most printed albums that use archival paper, M-Discs are engineered to last 1000 years, and are also able to withstand harsh elements. M-Discs will outlast even the finest, highest quality printed photo albums - by a factor of 10 or more.

Bear in mind… once you have a M-Disc of your wedding gallery you won’t need an M-Disc player to read it, you can use any widely available Blu-ray player or any common console such as Xbox or Playstation.

Chris Jack Photography now offers M-Disc creation of your entire wedding photo gallery to a 25GB Verbatim M-Disc. I am involved in the whole process, so you can trust that it happens correctly from start to finish (nothing is outsourced).

Here’s what’s included:

  • Trust & Technical Know-How. As a dedicated, professional wedding photographer with over 10 years experience, you can trust me to understand how to download your wedding gallery from the online gallery service it is currently published to (such as Pixieset). I deal with large wedding galleries on a daily basis, so I am familiar with all the wedding gallery services, so all you need to provide is the URL and password.

  • Download of your wedding gallery and/or wedding film/videos/slideshows at maximum resolution. Resolution check to ensure correct.

  • Burning of 1 X 25GB Verbatim branded M-Disc with the downloaded photos.

  • Data verfication upon burning ensures every bit is written correctly to the media.

  • Testing of the disc in another Blu-ray player.

  • Bonus: Extra Blu Ray disc burned as an additional backup, which you can use to ‘play’ your wedding photos while keeping the original M-Disc in safe storage. While a Blu-ray disc may only last 25 years, it’s still a great additional backup and far superior to a USB Drive.

  • Postage of the 1 X M Disc and 1 X Blu-ray DVD to one Australian address (regular post).

Order your M-Disc today, and ensure your wedding photos are really kept safe for future generations.

Please note: After pressing the Purchase button you will be asked to provide your wedding gallery URL and password, if you prefer to do this over the phone please schedule a chat with me personally over the phone, and you can pass these details to me that way (chrisjack.as.me).

Passing the URL and password via this site is secure, as all orders are encrypted throughout the process.
